On Thursday, Charlie Woods will look to pen a chapter of his own. Tiger Woods’ 15-year-old son will tee up at an 18-hole local qualifier in Port St. Lucie, Florida, as one of an 84-player field vying for a spot at the 124th edition of the major. CNN —Tiger Woods’ 15-year-old son, Charlie Woods, will compete in a pre-qualifier event Thursday in hopes of making the field for his first PGA Tour start next week. To qualify for the PGA Tour’s Cognizant Classic, Charlie would need to advance from the pre-qualifier and then again from the event’s qualifier Monday. The PGA Tour said just four qualifiers will advance from Monday’s event into the Cognizant Classic field. Aside from winning a state championship, Woods and his legendary father have played together at the PGA Tour’s annual PNC Championship tournament. “I am proud of whatever direction he chooses.”CNN has reached out to Tiger Woods for comment.

Even though we're on the coast, we initially weren't in a flood zone. They just said that there was flood insurance that we had to have, and they had bought it for us. CNN —Tiger Woods’ ex-girlfriend Erica Herman has dropped her lawsuit filed in October 2022, which alleged that a trust owned by the 47-year-old golfer violated the Florida Residential Landlord Tenant Act by breaking an oral tenancy agreement, and which sought damages “in excess of $30,000,000,” according to court filings and previous CNN reporting. Herman dismissed her complaint without prejudice “pending the resolution” of her appeal in a more recent complaint, aimed at nullifying an NDA, that she said required “confidential arbitration in all disputes between” Herman and Woods. CNN has reached out to attorneys for Tiger Woods and Erica Herman for comment regarding the dropping of the $30 million lawsuit. The October filing had alleged that Woods’ Jupiter Island Irrevocable Homestead Trust unlawfully brought Herman’s tenancy at the couple’s property on the Hobe Sound, Florida, to an end. The prohibited practices were done intentionally, with premeditation, and with malice aforethought.”
